Up for sale, a 2025 HTJ-Works Bright Horse Professional Overdrive, like-new and complete with its box and paperwork. Part of a sold out limited edition run, this exceedingly faithful Klon klone was crafted in Japan by pedal guru Toru Kamigaito.

Designed to commemorate the 500th Bright Horse klone produced (typically a smaller model that focuses more on tonal similarities than aesthetic ones), Kamigato made a few dozen of these "big box" variants. This version of HTJ-Works' Bright Horse replicates the molded aluminum enclosure of the original Klon Centaur, with a redesigned circuit board layout specifically to accommodate this edition.

Little new can be said about the tone and responsiveness of the original gold Centaur, and this Bright Horse OD Big excels at capturing the transparent, dynamic, and sonically rich characteristics of that iconic pedal. The small buffered/true bypass toggle which was incorporated into the KTR is also present as a tiny mini toggle on the footswitch circuit board inside, and unlike a Klon (or KTR) which uses a ribbon cable between the boards, the HTJ has individually hand-wired leads.

The Bright Horse features the Klon’s Gain, Treble, and Output control configuration, with oxblood ridged pointer knobs, and the unit is powered by a 9V battery or external power adapter (not included). The gold enclosure has an identical footprint to the original Klon, with silkscreen text on top, and the handwritten serial is present on the board. Sourced directly from Japan, this is a brand new pedal.

The original box, Japanese paperwork, and 1/8" to standard 9v barrel jack adapter cable are included.
