Up for sale, a 2024 Fender Traditional Late ‘60s Jazzmaster FSR in mint condition, complete with hangtags. New for Fender Japan's Traditional line, the Late 60s Jazzmaster model has a feature set consistent with the 1966 model year, including pearloid blocks and binding on the rosewood fretboard, witch hat knobs, and a vintage-correct "transitional" Fender logo. This Jazzmaster was an FSR (Factory Special Run) model for a single dealer in Japan, Ishibashi, produced in extremely small quantities and not otherwise available to the USA market.
Central to this limited run instrument's feature set, the guitar features an ash body with particularly dynamic grain, offering a natural heft, punch and note detail beyond what one expects with the alder bodies used on most Jazzmaster models. The Traditional Late 60s model features redesigned Vintage-Style pickups, as well as USA-spec CTS pots. The instrument has plenty of sparkle and percussive cut on tap, with a range of powerful and defined tones from the two single coil pickups. And engaging the Rhythm Circuit on the guitar's lower body horn yields warmer, wooly sounds. This guitar weighs 9lbs 8oz, dialed in beyond the factory setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar where we specialize in Fender Offset instruments, featuring low action, accurate intonation, and factory 9-42 strings (string gauge and setup can be adjusted at buyer's request for no additional cost).
