Up for sale, a 2024 Fender Custom Shop 1969 Stratocaster NOS in showroom-clean, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case, CoA, and all hangtags/case candy. This Custom Shop model faithfully replicates the hallmarks of a late ‘60s Stratocaster, featuring a four-bolt neck plate, large headstock with block logo, handwound gray bobbin pickups, “F” tuners, and a gloss New Old Stock nitro lacquer three-tone Sunburst finish.
Weighing 8lbs 3oz, tonewoods include an alder body, a substantial maple neck with a U-shaped profile carve, and a AAA rosewood fingerboard with a modern 9 1/2“ radius and 6105 fretwire. The trio of Custom Shop Handwound ‘69 single coil pickups deliver quintessential Stratocaster tonalities at each position on the five-way pickup selector switch, featuring period-correct construction with gray fiber bobbins, formvar wire, Alnico magnets (vintage stagger), and cloth-covered leads. The bridge has ample snap and sparkle, the neck is full and gutsy while remaining articulate, and the “in-between” positions have hollow quack, with a low noise-floor thanks to the reverse-wound/reverse-polarity middle pickup.
