Up for sale, a 2023 Fender Hybrid II Stratocaster in like-new condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original gigbag and hangtags. This Japan-exclusive Strat is an ideal combination of classic aesthetics and modern, player-friendly features including a two-point tremolo, locking tuners, satin-finish Modern C-shaped neck profile, and 9 1/2“ fretboard radius. This Hybrid II was sourced directly from Tokyo, sporting a Forest Blue gloss finish.

Tonewoods include an alder body, maple neck, and thick slab 22 fret rosewood fretboard, and this Strat has a lively, articulate acoustic response with good midrange warmth, qualities captured by the Hybrid II Custom Voiced single coil pickups. These pickups features staggered, beveled alnico pole pieces and are specifically voiced to accentuate the best qualities of each pickup position; the bridge is twangy and clear, with a touch of extra low end kick, the neck pickup is throaty and full while retaining exceptional clarity, and the “in-between” positions on the five-way selector switch deliver quintessential hollow Strat quack. This Hybrid II Stratocaster weighs 7lbs 7oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and spot-on intonation.

The satin-finished neck sports a Modern C shape, a medium depth carve with nicely-rounded shoulders and ideal heft in every register, measuring .820” deep at the 1st fret and .950” at the 12th. The thick slab rosewood fretboard is a notably dark cut with a modern 9 1/2“ radius, and the narrow tall fretwire is pristine. This guitar plays cleanly up the 25 1/2“ scale with a straight neck and a responsive, optimally-adjusted truss rod, and the nut measures 1.650” (42mm) in width, carved from bone. On the headstock, the Kluson-style locking tuning machines turn smoothly and hold accurate pitch, with staggered posts for ideal break angle across the nut.

Electronics include the Custom Voiced pickups wired to USA-made CTS pots. The chrome-plated hardware shines like new, and the two-point vibrato actuates smoothly and snaps quickly back to pitch with a full-size block. The mint green pickguard retains its protective factory film and advert, and bright white pickup covers and knobs round out the plastics.

Ostensibly brand new, the gloss Forest Blue finish is bright and bold, and there’s nary a scratch on the body. The buttery smooth satin finish on the neck profile is similarly flawless.

The original Fender-branded gigbag is included, along with the hangtagts.
