Up for sale, a 2023 Fender Custom Shop 1952 Telecaster Journeyman Relic in showroom-clean condition, complete with the G&G Deluxe hardshell case, CoA, hangtags, and case candy. This Tele faithfully replicates the feel, appearance, and tone of Fender’s golden age original, with a “flash coat” Nocaster Blonde nitro lacquer finish, vintage-accurate hardware, and select player-friendly modern tweaks including a compound fretboard radius, 6105 fretwire, and a ‘51 Mod Nocaster wiring harness (included, not installed).
Traditional tonewoods include an ash body and a riftsawn one-piece maple neck, and this 1952 Telecaster Journeyman Relic is lightweight at 7lbs 4oz. The handwound ‘50/’51 Blackguard single coil pickups feature black fiber bobbins, cloth-covered leads, and flush-mount pole pieces at the bridge pickup. These pickups are articulate, immediate, and focused, with classic Tele twang at the bridge and notably gutsy, smooth chop at the neck. This Custom Shop ‘52 Telecaster has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action and accurate intonation.

Fender's "flash coat" Nocaster Blonde nitro lacquer gloss finish is a re-branding of the "Thin Skin" concept, in which the lacquer is sprayed very thinly with no poly base coat, ensuring maximum acoustic resonance. The Journeyman Relic treatment includes extensive checking and a number of small simulated marks on the body, with virtually no wear beyond the factory aging. Simulated palm wear on the neck has left the profile with a flawless satin feel.
The tweed G&G Deluxe hardshell case is included, along with the CoA/Floor Traveler and all hangtags/case candy.
