Up for sale, a 2022 Ibanez AZ Series Prestige model AZ2204NW in near-mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. This Ibanez “Superstrat” was crafted at the Fujigen factory as part of the upper-tiered Prestige line, featuring Seymour Duncan Fortuna pickups, an S-Tech roasted maple neck with 22-fret compound radius fingerboard, T1702B two-point synchronized tremolo, and Gotoh locking tuning machines with adjustable posts.
The roasted maple neck has been treated with Ibanez’s patented S-Tech process, during which wood is submerged in nitrogen, heated and pressurized, resulting in improved dimensional stability and decreased density. The Seymour Duncan Fortuna HSS pickups are voiced for nuance, with pristine cleans and a dynamic, touch-sensitive feel. The humbucker in the bridge has an even bass and treble response, and the single coils are sweet and articulate. Additionally, the dyna-MIX9 “Alter” two-way mini-toggle enables a different set of pickup configurations on the five-way pickup selector switch (9 total tones), with unique setups including treating the two single coils as one humbucker (independent and with the bridge pickup) and tapping the bridge humbucker (both inside and outside coils). This AZ2402NW weighs 7lbs 11oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, slinky action, and accurate intonation.
