This Flying V is a unique Custom Shop offering with all the appointments of a Custom-tiered Gibson including an ebony fingerboard, pearl block inlay on the fingerboard, split diamond headstock inlay, gold hardware, and multi-ply binding throughout.

Tonewoods include a mahogany body and neck with an ebony fingerboard, offering both fundamental warmth and glassy treble cut. The 490R/498T humbucker pair cover plenty of tonal ground, vital and distinct at each position on the switch: the 490R is Gibson's Modern Classic humbucker, featuring Alnico II magnets and a similar response to a PAF, yet with more midrange emphasis. The 498T bridge pickup has Alnico V construction, yielding plenty of muscle and growl, well-suited for high gain scenarios. This Flying V Custom weighs 6lbs 15oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 11-49 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

The gloss Ebony nitro lacquer finish is framed on top by multi-ply binding, and the guitar exhibits an area of light buckle wear on the bass side of the back, light pick wear on top, and some finish scratches in the clear coat.
