Up for sale, a 2022 Fender Japan Hiroshi Nagai Art Canvas Esquire No 2 in mint condition, complete with the original hangtags and hardshell case. Limited to 30 pieces worldwide and only available as a Fender Japan website exclusive, these Art Canvas Esquire models sold out instantly.

Featuring artwork from Hiroshi Nagai, one of the leading figures in the City Pop style, this Esquire weighs 8lbs 5oz with a maple neck, slab rosewood fretboard and ash body. At the heart of this model is an American Vintage '58 Esquire/Tele bridge pickup, coupled to a three-way Tone switch and offering plenty of chewy twang and sparkling single coil cut, with the inherent midrange authority of ash. This Esquire has been dialed in here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with the factory 9-42 strings, low action and accurate intonation (string gauge and setup can be adjusted to buyer's preference).

The maple neck has a chunky U-shaped profile carve with generous shoulder and lightly rolled fretboard edges, measuring .865" deep at the 1st fret and .915" at the 12th. The slab rosewood fretboard has a modern 9 1/2" radius with vintage-style slender fretwire, playing cleanly up the 25 1/2" scale. The nut measures 1 5/8" in width, and the headstock features Kluson-style tuners.

Electronics include the American Vintage '58 Esquire single coil pickup, three-way Tone switch and USA-made CTS pots. Hardware includes the chrome-plated bridge with brass barrel saddles and a pair of '50s-style domed knurled knobs. The satin finish is flawless, with Hiroshi Nagai's artwork on top, opaque white sides, and a back with a thin natural finish that highlights the grain of the ash body.

The hangtags and original black tolex hardshell case are included.
