Based on the first concept prototypes from the original Strandberg Boden, this guitar is as modern and forward-thinking as they come, delivering on the sleekness of that original design with a handful of player-friendly tweaks. Everything about the Boden Original NX 8 is hyper-engineered for maximum ergonomic efficiency, playability, and comfort, from the patented EndurNeck neck with fanned frets to the contoured, chambered body, aircraft-grade aluminum hardware, active Fishman Fluence pickups, and a satin Earth Green finish.

Tonewoods comprise a chambered ash body with a carved maple top and a quilted maple veneer, quartersawn maple neck, and 24-fret birdseye maple fingerboard, and this Boden Original NX 8 is featherweight at just 5lbs 11oz. The Fishman Fluence active pickups comprise a Modern Ceramic in the bridge position and a Modern Alnico at the neck: these pickups are powerful and aggressive, harmonically complex with excellent dynamic responsiveness and immediate note attack. The ceramic humbucker at the bridge is more focused and aggressive, and the Alnico humbucker at the neck is warm and full with open, airy lows. A push/pull Voicing switch at the Tone knob enables the pickups to toggle between a modern, high-output sound and a crisp, clean and fluid sound that is much more vintage-flavored. The push/pull coil tap at the Volume knob enables single coil sparkle and shimmer, combining with the Voicing switch for a wide array of tonalities on tap. This Original NX 8 has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 9-84 strings, slinky action, and accurate intonation.
