Up for sale, a 2021 Gibson Hummingbird Original in near mint condition with a gloss nitro lacquer Heritage Cherry Sunburst finish and the original hardshell case, factory paperwork and case candy. The current iteration of the Hummingbird offered by Gibson, the "Original" model features a carved bone nut and saddle, gold Kluson-style tuners, and traditional hand-scalloped X-bracing on the Sitka spruce top.

In many ways the Hummingbird was Gibson's answer to Martin's D-18, yet this dreadnought offers a tone that is distinctly Gibson, featuring a solid Sitka spruce top and mahogany back and sides. Bold, bright, and articulate, this Hummingbird delivers square shoulder dreadnought muscle and projection. The wound strings are clear and percussive, the midrange frequencies are balanced, and the treble strings are sparkling and airy. And for situations where the ample natural projection of this Hummingbird isn't quite enough, the factory-installed L.R. Baggs VTC pickup provides the option of additional amplification. The guitar weighs 4lbs 8oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with 11-50 bronze strings and easy-playing action.

The one-piece mahogany neck has Gibson's "Rounded" neck profile carve, a modestly chunky C shape with full shoulders, measuring .860" deep at the 1st fret and .925" at the 9th. The bound rosewood fretboard sports split parallelogram mother of pearl inlay and flawless original slender fretwire. The guitar plays cleanly up the 24 3/4" scale with a straight neck and responsive, optimally adjusted truss rod. The bone nut measures 1.724" in width (just fractionally shy of a full 1 3/4"). On the headstock, the gold-plated Kluson-style tuning machines turn smoothly and hold pitch well with transparent keystone buttons.

On the body, the rosewood bridge sits flush with the top on all edges, and the bone saddle has tons of height. The guitar features its stock L.R. Baggs VTC undersaddle pickup and accompanying endpin jack, with small Volume and Tone wheels anchored to the edge of the soundhole. The graphics on the pickguard are practically perfect, and the serialized orange oval label is intact. Sparingly played since new, there's barely a scratch on the body, while the nitro gloss finish on the neck profile is flawless.

The original hardshell case is included, along with the factory paperwork and case candy.
