Out Of Stock
Up for sale, a 2021 Berly T-Type in near mint condition and in perfect working order with a relic'd Shoreline Gold nitro lacquer finish. A boutique brand from Austin, TX, Berly Guitars are handmade to the specific demands of each client. This particular guitar is outfitted with a genuine late ‘60s Gibson mini humbucker in the neck position and a (non-factory) Seymour Duncan JB Jr. single coil-sized humbucker at the bridge.

Tonewoods include an ash body and maple neck capped by a thick slab rosewood fretboard. Acoustically, this guitar is bright and punchy, with plenty of articulation faithfully captured by the pickup complement. The late ‘60s Gibson mini humbucker at the neck position has a full, bell-like quality with a woody, distinctly vintage sound, metering at 6.2k ohms. It produces pristine, sweet clean tones with a tight low end and plenty of midrange harmonic complexity. The Seymour Duncan JB Jr. at the bridge is a single coil-sized iteration of the iconic JB humbucker, delivering bright, sparkling tones with plenty of midrange cut and punch, tailored for high gain crunch. This Berly weighs 8lbs, benefitting from a factory Plek treatment, freshly dialed in here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action and accurate intonation.

The maple neck has a chunky C-shaped profile carve with generous shoulder and hand-rolled fretboard edges, measuring .950” deep at the 1st fret and .999” at the 12th. The thick slab rosewood fretboard has a 9 1/2” radius with pristine medium jumbo fretwire. This guitar plays cleanly up the 25 1/2” scale with a straight neck and a responsive, optimally-adjusted truss rod. The polished bone nut measures 1 5/8" in width. On the headstock, the Kluson-style Gotoh tuners turn smoothly and hold accurate pitch.

The pickups are wired to CTS pots and a Mojotone Dijon cap with a three-way pickup selector and Master Volume and Tone controls. Hardware includes the dome-top knurled knobs and a Gotoh bridge with aged brass saddles. The gloss Shoreline Gold finish has a relic treatment with extensive cross-hatched finish checking, and areas of simulated wear are predominantly focused along the body edges and on the lower bout. There's virtually no wear on the guitar beyond the relic, and the finish on the maple neck profile has a similarly comfortable, broken-in feel with subtle birdseye figuring.

A Gator-brand heavily padded gigbag is included.
