Up for sale, a 2020 Fender Custom Shop 1964 Telecaster Custom Heavy Relic in mint condition, complete with the COA, all factory paperwork and case candy, and the G&G Deluxe hardshell case. This Tele faithfully replicates the feel, appearance, and tone of Fender’s Pre-CBS golden age with a Heavy Relic custom color Aged Ice Blue Metallic nitro lacquer finish.
This limited edition “Time Machine” Custom Shop Tele Custom features an alder body paired with a quartersawn AA flame maple neck capped with a AAA rosewood fingerboard. A couple player-friendly modern tweaks include a 9 1/2" radius fingerboard and 6105 Narrow Tall fretwire that offers the feel of vintage fretwire with appreciably more height/crown.
The guitar has a bright and lively natural acoustic response, providing an ideal platform for the pair of Twisted Tele single coil pickups. Each pickup in the Twisted Tele set is tailored to its position, uniquely wound to achieve its individual sonic character, and both pickups feature Alnico V magnet construction. The neck pickup's taller bobbin is designed to accommodate more windings, combined with a slightly shorter bridge pickup bobbin for dark full-bodied midrange. This Custom Shop ‘64 Tele Custom is lightweight at 7lbs 3oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action and accurate intonation.

The neck profile has a silky smooth satin finish, worn down nearly to the bare maple as part of the Relic process, highlighting flame figuring in the maple.
