Up for sale, a 2018 Fender Hama Okamoto Precision Bass “#4” in near-mint, 100 % original condition and in perfect working order, complete hangtags. This Fender Japan exclusive is the signature model for Hama Okamoto of Japanese rock band Okamoto’s, widely considered to be among the most influential bassists in the contemporary Japanese music scene.
Based on Okamoto's favorite Precision Bass, a model from 1968, this #4 signature also benefits from an easily navigable, Jazz Bass-style 1 1/2" nut width and U-shaped neck profile carve. Other unique vintage-spec accents include "lollipop" buttons on the tuning machines, spiral bridge saddles, and a factory-installed chrome-plated "ashtray" bridge cover. The tonewood complement consists of a basswood body, a maple neck, and a thick slab rosewood fretboard. The split-coil pickup delivers the quintessential P Bass goods, with thick thump and sweet top end growl. Weighing 8lbs 6oz, this bass has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 45-105 roundwound strings, easy-playing action, and accurate intonation.
