Up for sale, a 2018 Fender Custom Shop Masterbuilt Dennis Galuszka 1954 “Gloria” Telecaster Journeyman Relic in near-mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case, CoA, hangtags, and all case candy. The highest tier of Fender's Custom Shop, the Masterbuilt models are made by a singular master craftsman, in contrast to other "team built" Custom Shop tiers. This Tele was handcrafted by Dennis Galuszka, who has made instruments for artists including Paul McCartney, Andy Summers, and Johnny Marr.

This particular Telecaster is a recreation of a particular 1954 Telecaster (sn: 6900), and the original example was completed by Gloria Fuentes, a final assembly worker at Fender's Fullerton, CA factory who was responsible for the final tweaks that gave that special instrument its particular magic. According to Fender legend Abigail Ybarra, Gloria was a fun-loving, dedicated employee whose spirit showed in her work. This Masterbuilt "Gloria" 1956 Telecaster was commissioned by Willcutt Guitars, and features include an ash body, a nitro lacquer Blonde finish with a Journeyman Relic (lightest tier of Fender Custom Shop "Relic" aging), a one-piece rift-sawn maple neck with a substantial Rounded V carve, a set of hand-wound pickups, and a "Skating Bridge."

Featherweight at 6lbs 8oz, this Tele has a notably resonant, immediate acoustic profile, aided by the unique bridge design, faithful to a number of transitional bridges in '54. Nicknamed the "Skating Bridge," this design has an approximately 45 degree forward slant of the height adjusting screws, providing more downward pressure on the strings and increasing resonance. The hand-wound custom ‘54 single coils offer plenty of quintessential Tele snap and twang in the bridge position, and there’s a real power and punch in the midrange that keeps the signal full and rich-sounding with excellent string-to-string balance. The neck pickup has a sweet treble jangle, and the two pickups complement each other very well. This “Gloria” Telecaster has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
