The slab rosewood fretboard has a 7 1\/4“ radius and lightly rolled edges, and the slender fretwire is practically perfect. The bass plays cleanly up the 34” scale with a straight neck and a responsive, optimally-adjusted truss rod. The nut measures 1 1\/2“ in width, carved from bone for optimal clarity and sustain. On the matching headstock, the clover-button tuners turn smoothly and hold accurate pitch, with clean nickel plating, and there’s a tiny nick on the bass-side headstock face.
