Up for sale, a 2016 Fender Custom Shop NAMM Limited Edition Postmodern Journeyman Relic Telecaster in like-new condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case, hangtags, COA, and case candy. Featuring a perfect blend of vintage and modern features, this Tele boasts an extremely lightweight okoume body and bound Pink Sparkle-finished top. An extremely resonant and easy-playing instrument from Fender's Custom Shop, this Tele weighs 7lbs 4oz with a snappy, dynamically responsive acoustic tone. The hand-wound Custom Shop Texas Special pickups deliver the dynamic, sparkling twang that you want from a great Fender, and modern features such as the RSD bridge, contoured neck heel, medium jumbo fretwire, and compound fretboard radius ensure unparalleled playability. Professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar, this Tele features low action, accurate intonation, and 9-42 strings.

The quartersawn maple neck has a mid-60s oval shaped profile (essentially a slender C) that fills the palm comfortably with lots of shoulder and lightly rolled fretboard edges, measuring .800” at the 1st fret and .940” at the 12th. The gloss nitro lacquer finish has been worn down to the smooth, bare maple on the profile as part of the factory relic process, and the neck plays effortlessly with flawless medium jumbo fretwire, a compound 9 1/2-12" fretboard radius, and 1 5/8" nut width. The contoured four-bolt neck plate and heel allows for easy access to the highest registers of the fretboard. The headstock boasts a flawless "Telecaster" waterslide decal, Custom Shop Limited Edition chevron on the back, and a set of Fender-branded Kluson-style tuners that hold pitch as they should and turn very smoothly.

On the body, the Custom Shop Texas Special Telecaster pickups have excellent balance, dynamic bell-like tone, and a tight low end, indicative of the original Fender pickups of the early 1950s, yet with a bit more output and midrange content. Fender's Custom Shop was very tasteful with this particular relic, with assorted small simulated marks of wear, taking care to go just far enough to give the guitar a genuine, well cared for vintage appearance. The Pink Sparkle top finish is absolutely stunning, and the dimensional metalflake is framed by cream binding. There is virtually no wear beyond the factory relic treatment.

The original black tolex G&G Fender hardshell case is included, along with the COA and a full complement of case candy and hangtags.
