{"product_id":"2015-teisco-spectrum-5-vintage-reissue-guitar-metallic-blue-w-case-ikebe-japan","title":"2015 Teisco Spectrum 5 Vintage Reissue Guitar Metallic Blue w\/ Case, Ikebe Japan","description":"Up for sale, a 2015 Teisco Spectrum 5 in mint condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case. The most recent premium reissue of the Spectrum 5 platform made by Ikebe in Japan, this guitar is a significantly more accurate and finely crafted version of the Spectrum 5 than the Eastwood-made iteration, with the correct 4x2 tuner orientation on the headstock, deep German Carve on the body contours, and large chrome vibrato unit with Teisco-branded cover. It's uncommon for a reissue instrument to excel beyond the features and playability of the original example, but the Teisco Spectrum 5 is that rare instrument that truly does improve on its predecessors, with tighter tolerances, better fit and finish work, and more reliable, better machined hardware.The trio of original Z coil pickups are bright and percussive, with plenty of snap and hollow twang. The five two-way switches allow for a wide variety of tonal choices (and inspired the name for the guitar), and an additional sixth switch toggles between Mono and Stereo operation. With a solid mahogany body, this guitar weighs 7lbs 15oz, professionally setup here at Mike \u0026amp; Mike's Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.The maple neck has a slender C-shaped profile carve with modest shoulder and lightly rolled fretboard edges, measuring .800\" deep at the 1st fret and .899\" at the 12th. The 22 fret thick slab rosewood fretboard is a particularly dark cut of this tonewood, with flawless slender fretwire and distinctive pearloid T inlays. The scale length measures 25 1\/2\", and the neck is 42mm (1.650\") wide at the zero fret just forward of the nut. The headstock features Teisco's 1960s-style metal disc logo as well as a set of chrome tuning machines that hold pitch well.All of the electronics work flawlessly with multi-colored pickup selector switches governing the Z coil pickups. The chrome hardware includes the Tune-o-Matic bridge with roller saddles and vibrato unit which actuates easily and has a smooth response. The deep German Carve on the wicked curves and contours of the Spectrum body shape really make this guitar stand out, and the Blue Metallic finish is a deep, saturated shade framed by multi-ply binding. There's nary a scratch on the body and the neck profile gloss is equally flawless.The original brown tolex hardshell case with black leather ends is included. The factory plastic is still even intact over the leather handle.","brand":"Teisco","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":42518484123904,"sku":"ISI16043","price":2549.99,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":false}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0550\/4437\/4714\/products\/medium_36c3d888-a6a1-4671-ba65-a42376bea22c.jpg?v=1751530755","url":"https:\/\/mmguitarbar.com\/products\/2015-teisco-spectrum-5-vintage-reissue-guitar-metallic-blue-w-case-ikebe-japan","provider":"Mike \u0026 Mike's Guitar Bar","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
