Up for sale, a 2014 Gibson Les Paul Classic in near-mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case and hangtags. This discontinued iteration of the Les Paul platform was designed to pair classic aesthetics with modern functionality and versatility, featuring independent coil splits for each pickup, zebra pickup bobbins, a switchable active +15dB “Turbo Boost” control, and Precision Supreme Grip speed knobs.
Tonewoods include a weight-relieved mahogany body, maple top, mahogany neck, and bound rosewood fretboard, and this Les Paul Classic weighs 9lbs 9oz. The ‘57 Classic PAF in the neck position delivers a smooth, open quality with sweet treble growl and a tailored midrange. The Super ‘57 is a slightly hotter version of the same tonal profile, very well suited for gain with a touch more bite and aggression. The independent coil splits enable single coil sparkle and snap, and the “Turbo Boost” toggle is perfect for an extra hit of power when soloing. This Les Paul Classic has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
