A rare, top-tier model made exclusively for the Japanese domestic market, this bass is part of Fender Japan's Vintage Special Project series of instruments, representing the finest craftsmanship that Fender Japan has to offer. Premium touches and features include a nitro lacquer three-tone Sunburst finish, alder body, USA-made pickups, vintage-spec spiral saddles, and premium USA-made CTS pots with a Switchcraft output jack.

Weighing 9lbs 14oz, this bass offers ample natural sustain and resonance. The USA-made pickups have plenty of sweet midrange and the articulate growl inherent to the Jazz Bass sound, with a clear treble response and plenty of broad thump with the Tone knob dialed back to taste.
