The thick slab rosewood fretboard is a particularly dark and tight-grained cut of this tonewood with faintly rolled fretboard edges. The slender vintage-style frets retain their full factory height and show virtually no wear. The bass plays effortlessly up the straight neck, conforming to traditional Jazz Bass specifications with a 34\" scale length and easily navigable 1 1\/2\" nut width. The matching Shoreline Gold headstock features chrome clover button tuning machines that turn smoothly and hold pitch well.All of the electronics work as intended, with individual Volume knobs for each pickup and a Master Tone control with chrome, Strat-style knobs. The chrome plating on the control plate, Strat-style metal knobs, and bridge is positively gleaming. Cosmetic wear is limited to light pick scuffing on the guard and a couple pinhead-sized marks at the bass-side waist on top.
