Up for sale, a 2012 Paul Reed Smith Custom-Ordered McCarty in exceptional, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case and hangtags.

This PRS features a Private Stock bookmatched carved quilted maple top and a mahogany body, paired with a mahogany neck with a Wide Fat profile and cocobolo fretboard with moon inlays. The 57/08 neck position humbucker was inspired by a 1957 PAF, handwound with Alnico II magnets and constructed with vintage-spec wire. Sweet and expressive, this pickup meters at 8.5k ohms, offering excellent clarity and balance between spongy lows and and rich, round trebles. The bridge pickup is a 59/09, also constructed with Alnico II magnets and metering at 9.3kohms, designed to be powerful and articulate while providing rich harmonic overtones. Additionally, the Tone control's global push/pull coil tap yields an array of sparkling, snappy single coil tonalities. Exceedingly lightweight at 7lbs 6oz, this Paul Reed Smith has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and spot-on intonation.

The mahogany neck has PRS’ Wide Fat profile carve, a fairly substantial C-shaped profile shape with full shoulders and ideal heft in every register, measuring .860” deep at the 1st fret and .950” at the 12th. The 22-fret cocobolo fretboard has a 9 1/2“ radius with moon inlay, and the medium jumbo fretwire is practically perfect, only exhibiting a hint of wear beneath the plain strings on the crowns of frets 2-7. This PRS plays cleanly up the 25” scale with an arrow-straight neck, and the nut measures 1 11/16” in width. On the headstock, the open-gear locking tuning machines turn smoothly and hold accurate pitch. The back of the headstock retains the handwritten serial number and Paul Reed Smith’s signature, with “Custom Built for Eric Cummins” text.

The electronics function flawlessly, with the pickup pair governed by a three-way pickup selector switch and Master Volume and Tone controls, plus the push/pull global coil tap on the Tone knob. The nickel-plated hardware shines like new, including the compensated wraparound tailpiece and pickup covers, and the pair of ambered knobs round out the plastics.

The gloss Jade Glow finish highlights the extremely tight, three-dimensional figuring extending evenly across every inch of the Private Stock carved maple top. Cosmetic wear is limited to very light buckle worming on the back at the lower bout and belly contour, and just a scant few tiny marks and faint scratches in the clear coat on the body as a whole. The smooth gloss finish on the neck profile is pristine.

The original hardshell case with form-fit plush interior is included, along with a number of hangtags/paperwork.
