Up for sale, a 2012 Gretsch G6122-1962LH Chet Atkins Country Gentleman Left-handed in near-mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case and warranty card. Crafted in Japan as part of Gretsch’s Professional Collection, this Country Gentleman is faithful to vintage spec, featuring a Bigsby B6G vibrato, High Sensitivity Filter’Tron pickups, “Double Muffler” flip-up string mutes, Grover Imperial tuners, snap-on back pad with gold trim, and a gloss Walnut finish accented by simulated f holes and gold hardware.
The fully hollow, 2”-deep maple body features vintage-style parallel bracing, ensuring fantastic natural resonance and a peppy, articulate acoustic character. The High Sensitivity Filter’Tron humbuckers capture classic Gretsch jangle and punch, with (as the name would suggest) a notably detailed, articulate feel. These pickups are powerful and balanced, with pristine top-end chime, glassy mids, and plenty of low end heft.
