Up for sale, a 2011 Schecter AR-06 in exceptional, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. A unique amalgamation of Fender’s Jaguar and Jazzmaster models, the AR-06 is a rare Japanese-made Schecter model featuring an SH pickup complement and a sleek Black finish with matching headstock.

Weighing 7lbs 12oz, this Schecter boasts an alder body, maple neck, and 24 fret slab rosewood fingerboard with an ultra flat 16" radius. In the neck position is a Schecter Monster Tone single coil pickup; metering at 8.1k ohms, this pickup has a throaty, powerful quality with authoritative percussive cut. The bridge humbucker is a Schecter Super Rock, metering at 12k ohms. Big and bold with a sweet treble growl and punchy low end, the Super Rock is engineered for heavily distorted playing, yet can also achieve single coil sparkle via a two-way coil tap on the hexagonal control plate. Weighing 7lbs 12oz, this Schecter benefits from a professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and spot-on intonation.

The maple neck has a smooth satin finish on the profile with a slender C-shaped carve that has lightly rolled fretboard edges for added comfort. The profile measures .820” deep at the 1st fret and .885” at the 12th. The slender frets are practically perfect on the 24 fret slab rosewood fretboard, and the 16" radius makes extreme bending possible with notes that sing and sustain. The scale length is a full 25 1/2", and the nut measures 1.650" (42mm) in width. On the matching headstock, the Schecter Deluxe Kluson-style double line tuning machines turn smoothly and hold accurate pitch.

All of the electronics function as intended; the SH pickup complement is wired to the stock harness with untouched solder joints and full-size Japanese pots. Controls include Master Volume and Tone knobs with independent two-way on/off pickup switches at the hexagonal control plate, plus the two-way coil tap switch for the bridge pickup. All of the chrome-plated hardware shines like new, including the various control plates, the Nashville-style bridge and stopbar, and the plate on the bass-side horn where a Fender Offset's Rhythm Circuit would traditionally sit. The original pair of knobs and three-ply black pickguard round out the plastics.

Cosmetic wear on the gloss Black finish is limited to a handful of minor nicks on the body as a whole, largely concentrated on the back and lower bout body edge. The smooth satin finish on the neck profile is nigh-flawless, with just one shallow mark on the bass-side shoulder behind fret 2.

An Ibanez PowerPad padded gigbag is included, along with the Japanese user manual.
