Up for sale, a 2011 Fender Jazzmaster JM66/DP/2H in near mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. A virtually unseen Fender Japan model, this Jazzmaster was a special order, non-catalog offering featuring USA-made Dimarzio humbuckers framed in traditional Jazzmaster pickup surrounds. This guitar was offered exclusively to the Japanese domestic audience, recently imported from Japan.

Tonewoods include an alder body, maple neck, and dark rosewood fretboard, and the natural acoustic tone is balanced and warm, providing a great platform for the Dimarzio D Activator humbucker pair including a DP220F in the bridge position and DP219 at the neck. The D Activator humbuckers are a passive design, engineered to offer the same harmonically-rich, aggressive response as an active humbucker. The D Activator offers significant headroom, responding quickly and accurately to changes in pick attack. Either for bold clean tones or thick high gain crunch, the D Activator pickup is a great choice. This Jazzmaster weighs 8lbs, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

The maple neck has a medium C-shaped profile carve with round shoulders and lightly rolled fretboard edges, measuring .830" deep at the 1st fret and .920" at the 12th. The very dark rosewood fretboard has a vintage spec 7 1/4" radius with flawless slender fretwire that plays cleanly up the 25 1/2" scale. The neck is straight, and the truss rod is responsive and optimally adjusted. The nut measures 42.5mm in width (1.675"), carved from bone to ensure optimal note clarity and sustain. The headstock features Kluson-style tuning machines that turn smoothly and hold pitch reliably. The "Made in Japan" text and U-prefix serial are present above the four-bolt neck plate.

The streamlined electronics function as intended, with Master Volume and Tone knobs and a three-way pickup selector switch governing the Dimarzio humbucker pair. The chrome plating on the bridge and tailpiece is bright and clean, with uniform surface patina across the threaded saddles. Plastics include a dark reddish brown tortoise pickguard and black Jazzmaster pickup surrounds framing the Dimarzios. The three-tone Sunburst gloss finish is exceedingly clean, and cosmetic wear is limited to a couple tiny nicks on the lower bout body edge and a spot of light pick scuffing on the treble side of the guard. The ambered gloss on the neck profile is flawless.

The original padded Fender gigbag is included.
