Rich Mockingbird, and the tonewood complement includes a solid mahogany body, maple neck, and rosewood fretboard. The pickups are cutting and thick, with a Dimarzio Super Distortion-esque humbucker in the neck position with a double cream bobbin, and a bridge humbucker more in-line with an EMG. These pickups interact well with high gain and provide plenty of chunk and power. Weighing 6lbs 14oz, this Fernandes Mockingbird has been professionally setup here at Mike \u0026amp; Mike’s Guitar Bar with 9-42 strings, fast action, and accurate intonation.The maple neck has a slender D-shaped profile with round shoulders and lightly rolled binding edges, measuring .790” deep at the 1st fret and .860” at the 12th. The bound rosewood fretboard has a 12\" radius and features pearloid cloud inlays and stock medium jumbo frets which are practically perfect with plenty of meat and height, playing cleanly in every register. The scale length is 24 3\/4\", and the nut measures 1 5\/8\" in width. On the headstock, a large “F” is inlaid on the rosewood veneer in typical B.C. Rich fashion, and the gold set of Gotoh tuners turn smoothly and hold pitch well.The electronics function as they should, with a single Master Volume knob, three-way pickup selector switch, and Volume bypass two-way mini toggle. The ABR-1-style bridge and stopbar have been replaced with matching chrome-plated equivalents, and the guitar retains the original bridge inserts and tailpiece studs. Cosmetic wear is limited to one small finish chip on the back body edge by the rear strap button and just a few additional faint finish scratches in the clear coat of the gloss on the body as a whole.
