2010 Fender Stratocaster '62 Vintage Reissue Electric Guitar ST62 Ocean Turquoise, Japan MIJ

Up for sale, a 2010 Fender Stratocaster '62 vintage reissue model ST62 in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order with a gloss Ocean Turquoise Metallic custom color finish. Made in Japan, this guitar is a discontinued model, crafted exclusively for the Japanese domestic market and rarely seen outside its country of origin. Weighing 8lbs 1oz, the guitar features a trio of ceramic magnet Fender single coils which have a clear sound with more punch and top end snap than most alnico magnet varieties. Professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar and strung with fresh 10-46 strings, this Strat is ready for stage and studio use.

The maple neck has a quintessential medium C-shaped profile carve with nicely rounded shoulders and faintly rolled fretboard edges, measuring .835" deep at the 1st fret, graduating to .920" at the 12th. The dark slab rosewood fretboard has a vintage spec 7 1/4" radius and practically perfect slender fretwire. The guitar plays cleanly up the 25 1/2" scale with a straight neck and responsive, optimally adjusted truss rod. The bone nut measures 42.5mm in width (1.675). On the headstock, the Kluson-style Gotoh tuning machines have the correct vintage look, turn smoothly, and hold pitch well. The "Made in Japan" and U-prefix serial number are present above the four-bolt neck plate.

All of the electronics work as they should, and the guitar features a five-way pickup selector switch and traditional Strat control array. The chrome hardware is quite clean, and the plastic parts include cream knobs, contrasting with the pale mint green pickguard. The gloss finish is a lighter shade of Ocean Turquoise Metallic, exhibiting light finish checking and chipping at the edge of the neck pocket, one U-shaped finish scratch behind the bridge on top, and just a few additional faint finish scratches and minor marks on the body as a whole. The neck retains its smooth ambered gloss finish which shows a few small dings on the bass-side shoulder from frets 4-7 that don’t affect playability.

The original padded Fender-branded gigbag is included.
