Up for sale, a 2009 Fender Telecaster Beck signature model TL68-BECK in showroom clean, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with hangtags. This guitar is neither a signature model for Jeff Beck nor Beck Hansen, instead commemorating the Beck manga series written and illustrated by Harold Sakuishi. The series (and its anime adaptation Beck: Mongolian Chop Squad) follows Yukio "Koyuki" Tanaka and his rock band's struggle to fame, and Koyuki plays a Tele just like this one in the series. Emulating the smooth cartoon look of the manga/anime, this Tele boasts a satin Aged Matte Blonde finish.
Tonewoods include a sen ash body, maple neck, and rosewood fretboard, and this guitar weighs 7lbs 10oz. The Fender USA-made single coil pickups feature alnico magnets, delivering a bevy of classic Tele tonalities with chewy twangy and sparkle at the bridge position and a throaty cut and bell-like roundness at the neck. This TL68-BECK has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
