Up for sale, a 2008 Gibson Custom Shop Historic 1958 Flying V Mahogany VOS in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case, CoA, and all hangtags. A faithful recreation of the storied 1958 Flying V with mahogany construction as opposed to korina, this Flying V features vintage-spec hardware and plastics, a VOS Mahogany (Cherry) nitro lacquer finish, a chunky ‘58-centric neck profile carve, and a pair of ‘57 Classic PAF humbuckers.
The mahogany construction ensures great fundamental warmth and note detail, with natural low-mid oomph, an ideal pairing for the tailored midrange clarity of the ‘57 Classic PAF humbuckers. Faithfully constructed with Alnico II magnets, these pickups deliver warm, spongy lows, and clear trebles, with focused growl at the bridge and fatter bark at the neck. This Flying V is featherweight at 6lbs 11oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

The top presents quite cleanly, and the nitro on the neck profile is flawless.
The original form-fit black tolex hardshell case is included, along with the serialized CoA, all original hangtags and paperwork.
