Up for sale, a 2006 Gibson Custom Shop Historic 1958 Les Paul Junior Doublecut in exceptional, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the COA, hardshell case, and every single hangtag.

A simple, elegant tone machine, the Junior features solid mahogany construction and a wraparound tailpiece design for both rich, low end bark and articulate top end zing. The bridge position P-90 pickup yields a dynamic tone that's thick and roaring, with great midrange content and glassy treble articulation. Professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar and weighing 7lbs 6oz, this Les Paul has 10-46 strings and is ready for stage and studio work.

The one-piece mahogany neck has a substantial baseball bat C-shaped profile carve with generous shoulder and plenty of heft, measuring .920” deep at the 1st fret and 1.015” at the 12th. The thick slab rosewood fretboard features pearl dot inlay and flawless vintage-spec medium jumbo fretwire. The guitar plays effortlessly up the straight neck with a responsive, optimally adjusted truss rod. This Junior has Gibson's traditional 24 3/4" scale length, and the nut is a full 1 11/16" in width. On the headstock, the tuners are the original Gibson Deluxe single line strip tuners with white buttons and push-in tuner bushings. The back of the headstock has the inked serial number denoting the '58 reissue year and 2006 production year.

The simple electronics work as intended, with Volume and Tone controls for the single P-90 pickup, untouched solder joints and the original CTS pots and "bumblebee" tone cap. The single-ply black pickguard accents the gloss Cherry finish, and the original wraparound tailpiece and black bonnet knobs round out the vintage-spec appointments. This instrument is exceedingly clean, with cosmetic wear limited to a few microscopic marks and faint finish scratches in the clear coat on the body as a whole, and light pick scuffing across the pickguard. The gloss finish on the neck profile is flawless.

The original "Custom, Art & Historic" premium Gibson hardshell case is included, along with the COA and every single hangtag offered with the guitar when sold new.
