Up for sale, a 2005 Gibson Custom Shop Historic 1954 Les Paul Standard Goldtop R4 in near-mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case, CoA, and hangtags. This “Custom, Art & Historic”-era Gibson offering boasts a wraparound aluminum tailpiece and a pair of P-90 single coil pickups.
Lightweight for a Les Paul at only 8lbs 5oz, tonewoods include a mahogany body, carved maple top, mahogany neck, and rosewood fretboard. The P-90 pickups deliver a midrange-forward, glassy bite, focused bark at the bridge, and a woody percussive chop at the neck, with the added resonance and ringing trebles of the wraparound tailpiece. This Custom Shop Historic 1954 Les Paul Goldtop has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
