With a 17\" fully hollow slim body and all maple construction, this Gretsch has immediate attack, and a clear, balanced acoustic tone that's enhanced by the great midrange character of a pair of boutique USA-made TV Jones Filter'Tron humbuckers. The simulated F holes cut down on unwanted feedback, and this guitar delivers a full spectrum of great sounds with bass that has just enough oomph to be present and yet not too boomy, and top end that sparkles and snaps with the best. The guitar weighs 7lbs 7oz. Professionally setup here at Mike \u0026amp; Mike's Guitar Bar and currently strung with 10-46 strings, this Country Gentleman plays effortlessly with low action.The maple neck has a modestly slender C-shaped profile carve, with just enough roundness in the shoulders and an elegant, effortless feel, measuring .830\" deep at the 1st fret and .930\" at the 9th. The bound ebony fingerboard features pearloid thumbnail inlay and perfect slender fretwire which has its full factory height and well-rounded crowns. The zero fret measures 1 11\/16\" just forward of the nut, and the guitar has the traditional Gretsch 24.6\" scale length. The headstock sports immaculate Grover Imperial tuning machines which have great tuning stability and a smooth gear ratio.On the body, all of the electronics work as they should, with standard Gretsch controls featuring individual pickup and tone toggles, a Master Volume control and individual Volumes for each pickup, with a kill switch three-way toggle (on\/off\/on) located just south of the bridge pickup Volume control. This particular 6122 iteration is also notable for featuring the correct vintage-style dual string mute \"mufflers,\" one for each half of the strings. The gold hardware is nigh flawless, with a lustrous sheen on the pickup covers, roller bridge, G pointer knobs, and Bigsby B6G vibrato tailpiece. The Gretsch roller bridge with ebony base allows for very smooth action on the Bigsby vibrato tailpiece, suitable for surfy shimmies or deeper dives with ease. Cosmetically, the guitar is near mint, with barely a scratch on it. The neck profile is free of wear, and this is a stunning example of one of Gretsch's most iconic models.The original hardshell case is included, along with the COA and hangtags.","brand":"Gretsch","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":40219524300986,"sku":"JD04080881","price":2599.99,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":false}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0550\/4437\/4714\/products\/medium_bc1c9528-32be-452a-9688-96b8589ff5d7.jpg?v=1751545053","url":"https:\/\/mmguitarbar.com\/products\/2004-gretsch-country-gentleman-g6122sp-country-classic-ii-custom-edition-walnut-w-tv-jones-case","provider":"Mike \u0026 Mike's Guitar Bar","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
