{"product_id":"2004-gibson-les-paul-supreme-alpine-white-w-case","title":"2004 Gibson Les Paul Supreme Alpine White w\/ Case","description":"Up for sale, a 2004 Gibson Les Paul Supreme in perfect working order, finished in gloss Alpine White nitro lacquer and complete with the original hardshell case. Introduced at the 2003 NAMM show and an instant hit with players, this early example of the Supreme is a modern spin on the Les Paul Custom platform. Features include a carved maple cap, chambered mahogany body with no rear control cavity covers, and a mahogany neck capped with an ebony fingerboard (not Richlite like later iterations). Both the headstock face and fingerboard of the Supreme feature premium pearl inlay, with gold hardware used throughout.The Supreme's pickup complement is Gibson's tried and true pairing of a 490R in the neck position and a 498T at the bridge. At 9lbs 10oz, this Les Paul has plenty of natural sustain, with an airy, resonant quality given the chambered body, properties that translate faithfully through the pickup pair. The 490R neck pickup features Alnico II magnets and has a more vintage-spec, PAF-style sonic range, while the Alnico V magnet 498T bridge pickup is overwound for extra power and authority. We've had this Les Paul Supreme professionally setup here at Mike \u0026amp; Mike's Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action and accurate intonation.The mahogany neck has a medium C-shaped profile carve with full shoulders and a gentle increase in overall heft in the higher registers, measuring .835\" deep at the 1st fret and .999\" at the 12th. The bound ebony fretboard features split pearl block inlay, and the gold fretwire is flawless, playing cleanly up the 24 3\/4\" scale. The neck is straight, and the truss rod is responsive and optimally adjusted. A GraphTech nut has been fitted, measuring 1 11\/16\" in width, and the headstock features a brass Les Paul-etched truss rod cover, Supreme inlay, and gold Grover Rotomatic tuning machines.All of the electronics function as intended, and the pickup pair has Gibson USA-embossed baseplates. The gold hardware has light surface patina, including the original ABR-1 bridge and stopbar, and plastics comprise a quartet of gold speed knobs. The Supreme model also comes from the factory without a switch surround or pickguard for a particularly sleek look.The Alpine White gloss nitro lacquer finish shows specific areas of discoloration\/darkening from contact with the case lining, particularly on the back. And while the lacquer on the body is perfectly smooth to the touch, the pattern of the crushed velvet case lining is mirrored on the lower bout, with additional case lining bleed into the lines of the buckle worming central to the back. This discoloration extends to a lesser extent to the body perimeter and neck profile. Beyond the wear noted above, there are just a few additional minor marks on the instrument as a whole.The original Gibson USA black tolex hardshell case is included.","brand":"Gibson","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":43810742763776,"sku":"00344435","price":3799.99,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":false}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0550\/4437\/4714\/products\/medium_99742af4-c246-4c93-a6c3-88fa3d5077da.jpg?v=1751504634","url":"https:\/\/mmguitarbar.com\/products\/2004-gibson-les-paul-supreme-alpine-white-w-case","provider":"Mike \u0026 Mike's Guitar Bar","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
