Up for sale, a 2004 Fender Aerodyne Telecaster model ATL-70 in near-mint condition and in perfect working order, complete with an upgraded hardshell case. This rare Fender Japan offering, introduced in 2004, sports a bevy of unique features including a contoured top framed by cream binding, matching headstock, satin neck profile, and an upgraded Lollar P-90 pickup in the neck position.
This Tele has a smooth, balanced acoustic voice, providing an ideal platform for the versatile pickup pair. The traditional Tele bridge pickup delivers plenty of twang and snap with a shimmering top end and ample bite, while the upgraded Lollar soapbar P-90 in the neck position (original pickup also included) has a late ‘50s-style midrange-forward sound, warm and full with plenty of growl and presence. These two pickups blend notably well for a thick sound with great articulation. This Aerodyne Telecaster is featherweight at 7lbs 1oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
