This bass weighs 8lbs 14oz, professionally setup here at Mike \u0026amp; Mike’s Guitar Bar with 45-100 strings, comfortable action and accurate intonation.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe maple neck has a slender U-shaped profile carve with well-rounded shoulders and lightly rolled fretboard edges, measuring .805” deep at the 1st fret and .975” at the 12th. The thick slab rosewood fretboard has a 7 1\/4” radius and pristine slender fretwire, playing cleanly up the 34” scale with a straight neck and a responsive, optimally-adjusted truss rod. The stock bone nut measures 1 1\/2” in width. The matching headstock features clover-button tuners that turn smoothly and hold accurate pitch, with clean nickel plating. The “Crafted in Japan” text and R-prefix serial number are present above the four-bolt neck plate.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eAll of the electronics work as intended, with individual Volume knobs for each pickup and a Master Tone control. The chrome-plated hardware is notably clean, including the bridge, control plate, and Strat-style knobs. The gloss Inca Silver finish is a very rare option, notably brighter in its presentation than Fender's much more prevalent Dolphin Grey finish on Aerodyne models, accented by a multi-ply black pickguard which shows some requisite scuffing on the treble side of the strum path, and framed on top by one-ply binding. This is a well-kept example, with cosmetic wear limited to one notable ding on the back on the treble-side cutaway.
