Up for sale, a 2003 Jackson Stars SL-J2 in excellent condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case. An uncommon Japanese domestic market model, the Jackson Stars instruments are the direct descendants of the Grover Jackson line, crafted at the Chu Shin factory. Featuring heelless maple neck-through construction with an ebony fretboard, alder body wings and a quilted maple top, this Jackson has an immediate, articulate natural projection channeled through the pair of upgraded Seymour Duncan humbuckers.
While this model came stock from the factory with Duncans (SH-4), this model features an aftermarket set, with a TB-5 Custom 5 Trembucker in the bridge position and an SH-1 PAF at the neck. The TB-5 Custom 5 Trembucker provides an unmistakable upper midrange attack, with a punchy, articulate low end, and harmonically-rich highs that really sing. The SH-1 PAF neck pickup was designed in the spirit of the original PAF, with sweet sustain, tight lows, and just enough midrange to deliver full-sounding chords while retaining clarity. This Soloist SL-J2 weighs 9lbs 1oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 9-42 strings, slinky action, and accurate intonation.
Neck Specs:
-Wood: Maple
-Shape: Slender D, measuring .765” 1st fret, .855” 12th fret
-Fretboard: Striped ebony, 24-fret, sharkfin inlay
-Frets: Jumbo, no wear

The smooth gloss finish on the neck profile is flawless.
