Up for sale, a 2003 Ibanez Prestige RGT3170 in 100% original condition and in perfect working order. Only produced in 2003-04 and offered exclusively to the Japanese domestic market, this rare Ibanez was crafted at the Fujiegen factory as part of the upscale Prestige line. Premium features include maple neck-through construction with mahogany body wings and a flame maple top, DiMarzio HSH pickup complement, an Ultra Prestige neck profile, Edge Pro double locking tremolo, and a gloss Transparent Blue finish.
The neck-through construction yields excellent natural sustain and resonance, providing an ideal platform for the DiMarzio pickup trio. The neck and bridge humbuckers are PAF Pros, designed to combine the open sound of a PAF with plenty of presence and cut, interacting well with high gain amps. Those rich, dynamic humbuckers flank a DiMarzio Blue Velvet single coil, offering great shimmer and snap and pairing well with the humbuckers at the “in-between” positions on the five-way pickup selector. This RGT3170 weighs 8lbs 9oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 9-42 strings, slinky action, and accurate intonation.
