Up for sale, a 2002 Fender Iron Maiden Signature Stratocaster model ST-110FIM in near mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original premium leather Fender gigbag. Only produced from 1999-2002, this rare “Crafted in Japan” Iron Maiden Signature Strat was released in collaboration with the metal titans and features a trio of single coil-sized USA-made Seymour Duncan humbuckers, a Floyd Rose tremolo, and mirrored pickguard.
Tonewoods include a basswood body and maple neck, ensuring a balanced, articulate natural acoustic tone ideal for a high gain pickup complement. The versatile Seymour Duncan pickup trio features a JB Jr. in the bridge position and a pair of Hot Rails at the middle and neck. The JB Jr. recreates the much-lauded tonal profile of its full humbucker-sized older brother, designed to offer powerful low end with crisp, biting highs and boosted mids; perfect for adding chunk to chords or for white-hot distorted melodic lines. The Hot Rails are overwound for a big, bold and balanced humbucker sound with a harmonically complex midrange. This Strat weighs 8lbs 3oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mikes Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, shred-ready action, and spot-on intonation.
The maple neck has a medium C-shaped profile carve with well-rounded shoulders, measuring .830” deep at the 1st fret and .945” at the 12th. The 22-fret maple fretboard has a modern 9 1/2” radius and flawless medium jumbo fretwire. This guitar plays cleanly up the 25 1/2" scale with a straight neck and a responsive, optimally-adjusted truss rod. The locking nut measures 42mm (1.650”) in width, offering excellent stability against deep dives and sharp flutters via the Floyd Rose tremolo. The headstock sports a Pre-CBS Strat shape with a string retainer bar and unique Iron Maiden “Eddie” logo. The Kluson-style tuners turn smoothly and hold accurate pitch, with notably clean chrome plating.
All of the electronics work as intended, with the Seymour Duncan pickups wired to the stock harness and governed by a 5-way pickup selector switch and Strat-standard Volume/Tone/Tone controls. The Floyd Rose tremolo accentuates smoothly and bounces back to pitch quickly with bright chrome plating. The trio of black dome-top knurled knobs round out the hardware. Plastics include the mirrored pickguard, also in exceptional condition with just some light scuffing on the treble side of the pick path.
Overall, this is an extremely well-kept example, with barely a mark on the gloss Black finish beyond a scant few faint scratches. The smooth gloss finish on the neck profile is equally pristine.
The original premium Fender-branded padded faux leather gigbag is included.
