Up for sale, a 2001 Gibson Les Paul Junior Special Plus in near-mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case and hangtag. This unique iteration of the Les Paul platform was produced for a few short years in the early 2000s, and (as the name would suggest) is essentially a hybrid of several different models, with features including an unbound, non-contoured tiger flame maple top, belly contour, humbucker pair, and gloss Transparent Red finish accented by gold hardware.

Traditional tonewoods include a mahogany body, tiger flame maple top, mahogany neck, and unbound rosewood fretboard, and this Les Paul Junior Special Plus weighs 7lbs 9oz. The 490R and 498T Alnico magnet humbuckers cover tons of tonal ground: the 490R is Gibson's Modern Classic humbucker, featuring Alnico II magnets and a similar response to a PAF, yet with more midrange emphasis. The 498T bridge pickup has Alnico V construction, yielding plenty of muscle and growl, well-suited for high gain scenarios.
