Up for sale, a 2001 Gibson Firebird V in exceptional, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case and hangtags. This particular Firebird was distributed in Japan by Gibson USA's distributor, Yamano. The Yamano instruments are often considered among Gibson's best, featuring the highest quality woods hand-picked for Gibson's discerning Japanese audience.

Featuring 9-ply neck-through construction with a solid mahogany body and neck, the instrument's warmth and natural sustain translates faithfully through a pair of Gibson's hot Firebird pickups. The tone is rich and full, with plenty of midrange content and an aggressive treble bite. This Firebird weighs 8lbs 7oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 11-49 strings, slinky action, and spot-on intonation.

-Frets: Medium, virtually no wear
-Scale Length: 24 3/4“
-Nut: 1 11/16”
-Tuners: Chrome-plated banjo tuners (vintage-correct and no longer a standard line option)
-Serialization: Stamped serial on back of peghead

Body Specs:

-Pickups: Firebird mini humbuckers, Gibson USA-embossed baseplates
-Harness: Untouched solder, Gibson-embossed pots
-Hardware: Chrome-plated ABR-1 Tune-o-Matic bridge and stopbar
-Plastics: Black reflector cap knobs and three-ply pickguard with Firebird graphic

The Vintage Sunburst nitro lacquer gloss exhibits light pick wear across the strum path, some minor marks central to the back (shy of buckle rash), and some scattered pinhead-sized nicks on top behind the bridge. The protective factory film is still intact on the rear control cavity cover (illustrative of how little this guitar has been played in 20+ years), and there's a subtle oval "tan line" on the pickguard just north of the Firebird graphic from a previously removed sticker. The neck profile retains its smooth nitro gloss.

The original brown tolex Gibson USA hardshell case with pink plush interior is included, along with the Gibson/Yamano hangtags and paperwork.
