Up for sale, a 2001 Danelectro DC59 12 string electric guitar in excellent condition and perfect working order. Finished in a gloss Blue Sparkle, this Dano is unique among 12 string designs, capturing the sparkle and jangle of a vintage Danelectro and sporting modern, player friendly hardware including a 12 saddle bridge for ideal intonation and Gotoh tuning machines that have a smooth, reliable response. The hollow Masonite/plywood body construction delivers a unique natural bark and spankiness, and the lipstick tube pickups are perfectly tailored for the jangle and sweet, sparkling character of a 12 string instrument. This Danelectro weighs 7lbs 3oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with easy-playing action and accurate intonation.

The maple neck has a medium depth D-shaped profile carve with full shoulders and lightly rolled fretboard edges, measuring .830" deep at the 1st fret and .900" at the 12th. The rosewood fretboard has a 14" radius, with dot inlay and medium jumbo frets that have their full factory height and plenty of meat, showing only light wear on the crowns of frets 1-3. The guitar plays easily up the 25" scale with a straight neck and responsive, optimally adjusted truss rod, and the aluminum nut measures a full 1 3/4" in width. The "coke bottle" headstock has a vertical Danelectro logo and set of 12 Gotoh tuning machines with clean chrome plating.

Electronics include stacked dedicated Volume/Tone knobs for each lipstick pickup along with a three-way pickup selector switch. Hardware includes the 12 saddle bridge which is an ingenious design, with six strings that anchor through the body and six that anchor behind the bridge. Six saddles are adjustable via screws behind the bridge, and the other six adjust via set screws. The Blue Sparkle gloss finish exhibits a few faint finish scratches on top behind the bridge, with only a couple tiny scuffs on the clean cream binding tape framing the body, and a bit of light pick scuffing across the thick single-ply pickguard. The back of the guitar is extremely clean, and the gloss finish on the neck profile is flawless.

A Gator-branded gigbag is included.
