Up for sale, a 2000s Mosrite Ventures Model Super Custom 65 vintage reissue in perfect working order, upgraded with Curtis Novak-made Mosrite pickups. Crafted at the KuroKumo factory in Japan, this rare model was made for a limited period, with the majority of examples only available to the domestic Japanese market. KuroKumo-made Mosrites are sought after for their build quality and attention to detail, and this Super Custom 65 replicates all the essential features of the early Ventures Model instruments, with smooth knobs, a sandcast Vibramute tailpiece, and prominent German Carve on the basswood body.

The upgraded Curtis Novak pickups are true to vintage Mosrite spec in both wind and materials, with a thick, midrange-forward sound. Hotly wound, these single coils are chewy and aggressive in the bridge position and fatter at the neck, offering an authoritative treble zing and sparkling cut that is quintessential Mosrite. Weighing 8lbs 4oz, this Mosrite has been professionally setup here at Mike and Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, easy-playing action and accurate intonation.
