Up for sale, a 2000 Jackson Stars Soloist model SL-J2E in near-mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with a hardshell case. A Japanese domestic market offering virtually unseen outside of its country of origin, the Jackson Stars instruments are the direct descendants of the Grover Jackson line, expertly crafted at the Chu Shin factory. This particular Soloist boasts a pair of EMG 81 pickups, a Floyd Rose-licensed tremolo, and a sleek, uncommon Matte Black satin finish.
This SL-J2E features maple neck through construction with alder body wings and a striped ebony fingerboard, offering plenty of sustain and treble snap. Utilizing powerful ceramic magnets and close aperture coils, the EMG 81s were designed for optimal note detail, enhanced high end cut, and fluid sustain. Traditionally used in the bridge position yet offered from the factory in both pickup positions on the SL-J2E, the EMG 81 is engineered so lead work will slice through even the densest mix. This Soloist SL-J2E weighs 7lbs 6oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 9-42 strings, slinky action, and accurate intonation.
