{"product_id":"1999-fender-american-vintage-62-jazz-bass-stack-knob-black-100-original","title":"1999 Fender American Vintage '62 Jazz Bass Stack Knob Black, 100% Original","description":"Up for sale, a 1999 Fender American Vintage '62 Jazz Bass in exceptional, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. Crafted at the Corona, CA factory, this Jazz Bass is a faithful reissue of the most collectable and desirable Jazz Basses of the early 1960s, complete with the \"stack knob\" control configuration.Tonewoods include an alder body, maple neck, and slab rosewood fretboard, ensuring a smooth, balanced natural acoustic tone. The original pair of black bobbin single coils offer plenty of rich growl and articulation, and with a dedicated Tone control for each single coil, it's easy to dial in a range of sounds that get broader and fatter as you roll back the Tone, retaining clarity and upper midrange presence and burp. Weighing 9lbs 5oz, we've had this Jazz Bass professionally setup here at Mike \u0026amp; Mike's Guitar Bar with fresh 45-100 roundwound strings, easy-playing action and accurate intonation.The maple neck has a medium depth U-shaped profile carve with full shoulders and rolled fretboard edges, measuring .835” deep at the 1st fret and filling out to .960” at the 12th. The slab rosewood fretboard is a particularly dark cut of this tonewood, with a vintage-spec 7 1\/4\" radius which retains the original slender fretwire with its full factory height and perfectly rounded crowns, showing only light wear on frets 1-6. The bass plays cleanly up the 34\" scale with a straight neck and responsive, optimally adjusted truss rod. The nut measures 1 1\/2\" in width. On the headstock, the original reverse-geared long stem clover-button tuning machines turn smoothly and hold pitch well. The original Jazz Bass waterslide decal is fully intact, and the neck heel has the clean, original stamp from August 19th, 1999, with the requisite factory stamps and dates in the neck pocket as well.The original electronics are intact, with untouched solder joints and CTS pots that date to the 37th week of '98. All of the original hardware is present with gleaming chrome plating, and plastics comprise the dark red \"meatball\" tortoise pickguard and finger rest. Wear on the Black nitro lacquer gloss finish is limited to some dings clustered on the treble-side lower bout body edge and a few light finish scratches on the back. The ambered gloss on the neck profile is smooth and clean, with just a couple shallow marks on the profile length.A heavy-duty tweed gigbag is included.","brand":"Fender","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":43591177076992,"sku":"V120293","price":2099.99,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":false}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0550\/4437\/4714\/products\/medium_f5068dc4-3729-4afd-9a06-31c24e74dc3f.jpg?v=1751499851","url":"https:\/\/mmguitarbar.com\/products\/1999-fender-american-vintage-62-jazz-bass-stack-knob-black-100-original","provider":"Mike \u0026 Mike's Guitar Bar","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
