Up for sale, a 1999 Fender American Vintage ‘62 Jaguar in near-mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, finished in custom color Fiesta Red and complete with the original G&G case and all hangtags/case candy. Introduced in 1999, this first year American Vintage '62 Jaguar model is from an era of production when Jaguar shipping totals were extremely small. A discontinued model, this Jaguar captures the feel and tonal properties of a Pre-CBS example with a tonewood complement comprising an alder body, maple neck, and thick slab rosewood fretboard, yielding a clear, bold acoustic voice.

Plugged in, this Jaguar delivers the goods via the pair of black bobbin single coil pickups with beveled flat-pole alnico magnets. The American Vintage '62 pickups are a bit rounder and fuller in the midrange than later Fender Jaguar pickup winds. Quite versatile, these pickups offer everything from aggressive treble sparkle to round, bell-like tones. Engage the Rhythm Circuit on the guitar's lower body horn for darker, meatier tones, or flip the "strangle" switch in the Lead Circuit for thinner tic-tac sounds. This American Vintage ‘62 Jaguar weighs 8lbs 11oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar, where we specialize in Fender Offset instruments, freshly strung with 11-49 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
