Up for sale, a 1998 Gibson Les Paul Standard in near-mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case and hangtags. This limited edition Gibson model was only offered from 1997-98, elevating the Standard platform with gold hardware and a set of 490R/T pickups.

This Les Paul hails from an increasingly highly regarded era of Gibson production, and this particular guitar was ordered by Gibson’s Japanese distributor Yamano. Gibson’s USA-made guitars distributed via Yamano are often considered to be among their best, featuring higher quality woods picked for Gibson’s discerning Japanese audience.

Traditional tonewoods include a carved two-piece maple top, solid mahogany body, one-piece mahogany neck, and bound rosewood fingerboard, and this Les Paul weighs 9lbs 13oz. Gibson's 490 humbuckers are marketed as their "Modern PAF," featuring Alnico II construction and offering a boosted midrange while retaining the sweet treble growl and spongy lows of Gibson's golden age humbuckers. This Les Paul Standard has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
