Up for sale, a 1997 Gibson Flying V ‘67 vintage reissue in near-mint condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case. A discontinued model with an Alpine White gloss nitro lacquer finish, this Flying V hails from a highly regarded era of Gibson production known colloquially as the "good wood era,” fitted with aftermarket active EMG 81 and 85 humbuckers.
A discontinued model, this Flying V boasts solid mahogany construction and an uncommon ebony fretboard, offering enhanced treble cut and note attack. The EMG 81 in the bridge position utilizes ceramic magnets and close aperture coils, designed for optimal note detail, enhanced high end cut, and fluid sustain, engineered so that lead work will slice through even the densest mix with an aggressive snarl. The EMG 85 in the neck position features Alnico V magnets and close aperture coils, offering incredible high end cut and fluid sustain. This Flying V weighs 7lbs 10oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
