Up for sale, a 1996 Maxon ROD-880 Overdrive, near-mint and in perfect working order, complete with box and power supply. Essentially identical to the Ibanez TK999 Tube King in all but name, the ROD-880 was designed to provide a wide variety of authentic tube tones, from subtle crunch to full-on metal distortion, ideal for taking overdriven amps over the edge while still retaining a responsive feel and note clarity. A versatile pedal, the ROD-880 also offers smooth, dynamic compression and boost functionality.
User-friendly controls include Gain, Master Volume knobs, with Bass, Mid Boost, and Treble EQ for tonal sculpting precision. With a 12AX7 tube at its heart, swapping out the tube can yield subtle tonal variations.
This ROD-880 is in great shape, with mild oxidization on the baseplate. The graphics are pristine, the original knob set is present, and the serialized sticker on the bottom is intact.
The original box, warranty card (dated to ‘96) and power supply are included.
