Up for sale, a 1996 Heritage H-535 VV in near-mint condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case. A one-owner instrument with a pair of rare custom-ordered mini-toggles, this H-535 captures all the best qualities of a finely-crafted ES-355, with tonewoods comprising a curly maple semi-hollow body (maple centerblock), mahogany neck, and bound rosewood fingerboard.
A direct descendant of Gibson, Heritage guitars are still handcrafted under the guidance of original Gibson employees at the Kalamazoo, Michigan factory. After Gibson left their original factory in 1984, their employees purchased it and have continued the legacy and pioneering spirit that defined Gibson's golden age.
Outfitted with original Schaller-made PAF-style humbuckers, this guitar offers a broad range of tones from smooth bridge pickup growl and articulation to broad neck pickup girth. Additionally tonal flexibility comes via the independent Var-I-Phase three-way mini-toggles, which enable both slinky out-of-phase sounds and coil tapped single coil-style sparkle in a variety of combinations. This H-535 weighs 8lbs 2oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

The gloss Cherry nitro lacquer finish is framed by cream binding, highlighting the figuring in the curly maple, and cosmetic wear is limited to light buckle rash central to the back and just a few minor finish scratches and tiny marks on the body as a whole. The nitro gloss on the neck profile is smooth and clean save for a couple shallow nicks in the upper registers that have no impact on playability.
The original black tolex hardshell case is included.
