Up for sale, a 1996 Gibson ES-335 Dot in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case. With a deeply figured curly flame maple body highlighted by an Vintage Sunburst gloss nitro lacquer finish, this ES-335 hails from what is increasingly heralded as Gibson’s “good wood” era.
The ES-335 Dot represents Gibson's first solid attempt at recreating the magic of the late '50s dot neck ES-335, and there's a harmonic complexity, midrange punch, and top end snap that this 335 delivers with aplomb. Strummed acoustically, this ES-335 has a big, broad tone with plenty of treble cut and smooth growl in the bass register, and this rich tonal palette translates well through the pickups. The original pair of ‘57 Classic PAF humbuckers offer a smooth bass register, tailored midrange, and sweet, articulate trebles, consistent with Gibson's golden era vintage "Patent Applied For" pickups. This ES-335 Dot weighs 8lbs 11oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 11-49 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
