Up for sale, a 1996 Fender Mini Stratocaster ST-Champ10 (ST-CH-435) finished in Sonic Blue with matching headstock. Far from a toy, this “Made in Japan” mini Strat features a built-in speaker and a single CH humbucker in the bridge position.
A three-way selector switch provides settings for Off, Clean, and Distortion for the built-in speaker, while Master Volume and Tone controls dictate both the speaker and instrument jack output. With the selector in the Off position, the speaker is bypassed and the instrument jack output works independently from the speaker, while in the other two positions both the instrument out and speaker are simultaneously engaged. The guitar can go from clean spank to ripping overdrive at the flip of the selector switch. This ST-Champ10 weighs 6lbs 4oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 9-42 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
Neck Specs:
-Wood: Maple
-Shape: Chunky C, measuring .875” 1st fret, .940” 12th fret
-Fretboard: Rosewood slab, 22-fret, 9 1/2“ radius
-Frets: Slender, no wear
-Scale Length: 24”
-Nut: 1.650” (42mm)
-Tuners: Gotoh
-Serialization: “Made in Japan”, N-prefix
Body Specs:
-Wood: Basswood
-Pickup: CH Humbucker
-Controls: Volume, Tone, Three-way speaker selector (Off/Clean/Distortion)
-Hardware: Two-point End Rox vibrato
-Plastics: Three-ply white pickguard, knobs
The gloss custom color Sonic Blue finish is pristine, with some greening of the finish on the headstock face and light pick scuffing across the pickguard. The satin finish on the neck profile is flawless.
The original padded Fender-branded gigbag is included.
